Casey Anthony

Casey-Anthony

As I mentioned in my “Says Who?” profile, it was the summer of 2008 when I watched in utter disbelief as the case against Casey Anthony unfolded. When the case went to trial in May 2011, I watched every minute of the 6 week trial with tens of thousands of online viewers as we shared our personal takes on the “tot mom” who got away with murder. From this experience, my personal interest in forensic psychology deepened and I began training in forensic statement analysis. I poured over statement after false statement as the 25-year-old child killer weaved in and out of reality… disturbing!

Although she was acquitted, my belief in Casey Anthony’s guilt is unwavering. It’s important to me that my audience understands that I have a great deal of respect for our legal system, flaws and all, and I mean no disrespect to the jurors faced with determining this case. They made their decision based on the guidelines set forth in a court of law – They did what they could. In my opinion, being acquitted of this crime doesn’t mean Casey Anthony isn’t guilty. The simple task of the defense to create reasonable doubt was achieved… That’s all.
